If you are applying for jobs which require a WWC Check and you do not already have one or yours has expired, you can only apply for a Check when you have been successful in gaining a position.

Once a prospective employer offers you a position (that involves child-related work) they will request you apply for a WWC Check and they will sign and verify your child-related work on your WWC Check application form.

The WWC Act requires that you only apply when you are about to start child-related employment. Your application receipt is proof that you have a pending application and in most cases this allows you to start your child-related work.
